Tift County-Roswell

The Tift County Blue Devils kick off 2008 with the same team they ended the 2006 season with.   The state semi-final game at the Georgia dome ended in a 24-10 win for the Hornets in the two teams only other meeting.  The game will be the first played at the newly renovated Brodie Field, where the Devils have only lost one game under Coach Walls tenure.

Roswell features a strong program, which includes a share of the 2006 state AAAAA championship and 1968 and 1970 state championships.  The game against Tift will be the second trip ever south of the Macon-Dixie line for the Hornets.  They were eliminated last year by eventual state champion Lowndes at the Concrete Palace.   Written By: TCTC Historian/Public Relations: Ronnie Hall
